Every day, the government buys billions of dollars’ worth of goods and services from businesses. In an ongoing effort to assist businesses interested in selling to the government, the New York City Department of Small Business Services APEX Accelerator offers Technical Assistance.

This workshop helps participants enhance their networking and communication skills by identifying target audiences, mastering communication tools, and learning proper etiquette. It also covers effective strategies for following up to turn connections into long-term opportunities.

This workshop focuses on enhancing your networking and communication skills to build meaningful professional relationships. Participants will learn how to identify and engage their target audience effectively, ensuring their networking efforts are focused and impactful. The session covers mastering communication tools and understanding the proper etiquette to navigate various networking environments with confidence. Additionally, strategies for successful follow-up will be explored, emphasizing how to maintain connections and turn them into long-term opportunities. By the end of this workshop, participants will be equipped with the skills to network strategically and communicate professionally.

The NYC SBS offers free business courses to guide NYC entrepreneurs as they start, operate, and grow their businesses. Courses are available on core topics in entrepreneurship, including business planning, financing, and marketing, and are accessible in multiple languages, including Spanish, Chinese, and Russian.
